Olisa Godson Muojama is a Reader in the Department of history, University of Ibadan, where he (in 2013) earned his PhD in world history, namely, the integration of colonial Nigeria into the capitalist world economy through cocoa industry. His areas of research include political economy, African history, intellectual history and war studies. He is a fellow of African Humanities Programme (AHP) of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS). He is also a Laurate of CODESRIA as well as a fellow of Munich Centre for Global History, Ludwig-Maximillian Universität, München, Germany. He is the author of The Nigerian Cocoa Industry and the International Economy in the 190s: A World-Systems Approach (2018). He has published his research in specialist journal such as African Economic History, University of Wisconsin Press.  He was the departmental exam officer from 2015 to 2019.
