Dr. ‘Goke Akinboye teaches in the Department of Classics, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, where he received his degrees. Akinboye has been a Visiting Scholar at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and University of Ghana, Legon. He has published books and written articles in learned journals. He is the author of Africa and The West: An Economic History of the Roman Imperialism in Africa (2014, Alpha Crownes, U.K), A Short Story of the Roman Republic: From Emergence to the Crossing of the Rubicon (2015, LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, Germany) and Egypt of the Nile: An Introduction to the History of Northeast Africa in Classical Antiquity (2018, John Archers, Ibadan) His research interests lie in the areas of Classical and North African History, particularly the socio-economic history and religion of classical antiquity as well as Legal Latin.
